Majangaza worked diligently with Vuvu Vena on a feature story; Problems in the health care sector in the rural Eastern Cape. Their hard work payed off greatly.

Winning the award was overwhelming because we worked very hard on the project.
“We visited 30 Hospitals in the Eastern Cape, which required a lot of persistence from us to get the information we wanted”,  said Majangaza.

Majangaza’s dream to be a Journalist started when he was twelve years old, he was inspired by the likes of Sanuse Nqoloba, Saba Mbixane and many more that used to work for the Radio Transkei at the time.
He went back home in 2009, to work at the Dispatch Branch in Umtata. Due to limited staff, he would report on various beats, which broadened his writing skills. He came back to work for Daily Dispatch, East London, 2011 as a photographer.
Poliswa Plaajtie, reporter for Daily Dispatch since 2011 testified of Majangaza’s diligence and hard work as a photographer.

Award Winning Photographer: Sino Majangaza
The self motivated Majangaza says, a Journalist does not always get stories from Government officials and high profiled people.

“I worked hard to get sources as a junior reporter. I maintained good relationship with them regardless of their social status. Now people call and email me for new stories.”
Sharing challenges he encountered in the media industry Majangaza said:  “I have learned that if you depend on sources as a reporter, they can use you to report bogus information for their personal motives.”
“As a Journalist you need to analyze all the information you receive, to protect your credibility in the media industry,” he advised.

Majangaza is now passionate about entertainment news, uploading videos and pictures on the Dispatch online publication. He uses Canon 7D Camera to take the award winning pictures.
